Ekaterina Antoshkina

Born in Moscow in 1997. Graduated from the Fyodorov Moscow State University of Applied Sciences as a graphic artist (2014-2020). She lives and works in the Moscow suburbs in a house overlooking a garden.

“For the author, the creation of any work is a meditation, a transition from the emotional impulse and irritation that triggers the process to the utter serenity of smooth shapes and planes that are alluring in their stillness. Flashes of memories, random or endlessly scrolling thoughts in the mind, images of animals, plants and strange states, spotted on a simple walk or in a dream. Emotional crumbs grow into an almost plotless story with a random character.

The stylistics of the works are defined by a mixture of an academic approach with primitivism and the flattening of space. Favourite material: acrylic.”
